How to Use & Storage

How many litres does each jar make?

Each jar makes 6.5 litres of stock. Simply mix 1 teaspoon of stock into 250ml of water.

How long can I keep a jar in the fridge once opened?

The opened jar will keep for up to a year in the fridge, just keep the lid on tightly and use a clean spoon each time.

How does a meat product stay safe for 12 months?

Our products are preserved by the addition of lake salt and apple cider vinegar. In combination with our manufacturing technique, this keeps the product safe as long as you use a clean spoon. We have our products regularly tested at food testing laboratories for quality assurance and our process is approved by the relevant food safety authorities.

Can I freeze the stock?

Yes, the stock concentrate can be frozen, as can the concentrate mixed with water. However, an open jar can also last for up to a year in the fridge, reducing any need to freeze stock.

How much stock should I use if I'm not adding water?

If the recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of salt, we recommend you use 2 teaspoons of stock concentrate. There’ll actually be less salt in your food than 1 teaspoon but the added complexity of the flavours in our stock will trick and tantalise your taste buds. Of course, the best way to find out is to taste because everyone’s preference for seasoning is different and you can always add more, so start off slowly.

Ordering & Shipping

Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free shipping on Australian orders of $40 or more.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, but the cost of international freight is very high and is usually prohibitive (approx. AUD 20 per jar). Please contact us directly via the contact page if you’d like a quote for international shipping.

Sustainability & Sourcing

Where are the products made?

Our products are proudly made in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Do you source local produce?

We work hard to source ingredients as close to us here in Fremantle, Western Australia, as possible. We buy direct from growers where we can, helping increase profit margins for the people who do the hard work – the farmers.

Why is a concentrate better for the environment?

We make choices that help reduce our environmental impact, from plastic-free, recyclable glass packaging to sourcing ingredients with low food miles when possible. And because our concentrates keep for up to a year in the fridge once opened, you can use exactly what you need, helping to reduce food waste.
